Acne is out and about to demonstrate that swedish furniture can be more than just a BILLY. The following pictures were taken during Paris Fashionweek. They yet conquered my heart and my imagination of a model home. But you surely have to check your bank account first before you start dreaming. Quality will have it's price. But who knows maybe there will be a collaboration, that's what swedish brands allways do in the end.

VitraHaus by Herzog & de Meuron

I'm not that kind of person allways highlighting some random architectures just for the reason that I may like what I see. A well coloured and cutted shirt isn't innovativ neither. This one totally makes me dream of something far from this very moment. This looks like home. Herzog & de Meuron made this one happen for the vitra campus located at Weil am Rhein, Germany.

NYC in the 1970s shot by Bruce Barone. Cities like New York are like mirrors to our society. New York changed since then and so did the society. Sure that it doesn't fit exactly, but these photos represent lost memories even when we do focus on things like the fashion or the music from the 1970s it is impossible for us to go back and to feel what happened and to feel what they felt. These feelings will be lost by the time that this generation isn't anymore, well it's allways like that with every generation's feelings. But atleast we can try to get it by photographs! Enjoy.

Give them a roof

This is what a blueprint of a homeless' home looks like. The idea of approaching a topic like this with street art components and arrangement is fresh to me even if it's from the last decade. The concept above is from 2005 invented by the famous TBWA Paris. Now in 2010 the Altraforma Agency nearly copied this idea for the city of Barcelona. Doubled or not it is for a good cause. I'm sure that this is an eye catcher while walking down the streets of your city. Continue to see what the copied one looks like.

The thing about temporarility

"In a modern metropolitan experience-focused society everything is about the ‘momentum’ — clubs, shops and bars, among others, are hot the first two years before they slip back into oblivion. We’re all experience hoppers, zapping between shots of inspiration. Cool shops currently do not have to focus on the slow process of building a circle of clients, but on quickly getting many people interested. After a couple of months the whole city knows, and the ‘homo metropolis’ gets bored. This is one of the reasons why pop-up stores are such a hot shot, as they live in temporality. Pop-up stores let us know about a boiling atmosphere of hot stuff in underground scenes briefly manifesting itself in the ‘real’ world." - Joop de Boer

It's about Puncos and Incos

Blue Dot Studio put 25 of their chairs on the streets of Manhattan, and then followed the chairs through a combination of GPS and video surveillance as people picked them up and took them home–which, by the way, the public could follow in real time on Twitter. Ted Noten, one of the leading jewellery designers in The Netherlands, has developed a jewellery ‘pull wall’ located close to the small rooms where girls still perform their original jobs. For only 2,50 euros, red rings, designed by Noten, can be bought at the former snack vending machine, to be given to a red light girl or as a present to your wife. I say Amsterdam, you did it again. Great idea.
