Acne Furniture
Acne is out and about to demonstrate that swedish furniture can be more than just a BILLY. The following pictures were taken during Paris Fashionweek. They yet conquered my heart and my imagination of a model home. But you surely have to check your bank account first before you start dreaming. Quality will have it's price. But who knows maybe there will be a collaboration, that's what swedish brands allways do in the end.

Paris je t'aime
The GQ's own Tommy Ton kept some looks right from Paris for us, off-site. These fellas look tight, no homo. Paris doesn't seem to be dominated by sponsorings. You don't enter there by buying a new Mercedes. Paris doesn't forget what it's all about, what it should be. Go on for my favourite piece, the....

VitraHaus by Herzog & de Meuron
I'm not that kind of person allways highlighting some random architectures just for the reason that I may like what I see. A well coloured and cutted shirt isn't innovativ neither. This one totally makes me dream of something far from this very moment. This looks like home. Herzog & de Meuron made this one happen for the vitra campus located at Weil am Rhein, Germany.

A good shelf cleaning
Chris Burns must be one of these people that try to catch and to keep everything. There are many treasures among his things. I think he has a point. Keep them and later you can be proud of every single piece. Lost things become the best things. Continue for more impressions of his beloved "junk".

Quote of the year
MBFW Berlin vs Bread & Butter. Well, atleast they respect each other..... not. Karl-Heinz Müller, the german Don King when it comes down to fashion issues, has it's very own opinion on his fellows from the infamous IMG, the people behind the Berlin Fashionweek. Our witness: Welt.de
Unfortunately the interview is only available in german that's why I just translated my quote of the year:
Let's face it, it's a tent. We at Bread & Butter have a tent like this too, but we did put our toilets in it.

Bruce Barone
NYC in the 1970s shot by Bruce Barone. Cities like New York are like mirrors to our society. New York changed since then and so did the society. Sure that it doesn't fit exactly, but these photos represent lost memories even when we do focus on things like the fashion or the music from the 1970s it is impossible for us to go back and to feel what happened and to feel what they felt. These feelings will be lost by the time that this generation isn't anymore, well it's allways like that with every generation's feelings. But atleast we can try to get it by photographs! Enjoy.

Art Mosh Paris - A film by Charlie Inman

Give them a roof
This is what a blueprint of a homeless' home looks like. The idea of approaching a topic like this with street art components and arrangement is fresh to me even if it's from the last decade. The concept above is from 2005 invented by the famous TBWA Paris. Now in 2010 the Altraforma Agency nearly copied this idea for the city of Barcelona. Doubled or not it is for a good cause. I'm sure that this is an eye catcher while walking down the streets of your city. Continue to see what the copied one looks like.

Back then when Apple was nothing and became everything
This is just a little look behind. 1997 Apple was saved. Some say Steve Jobs saved them, some say this brilliant tv commercial did. And others say these two together did mark the turning point. Think different! via

Something is missing
Sometimes it's obvious what is missing, sometimes not. For those of you who don't know "let it be" of the beatles: 1. buy it 2. take a look at the last picture. This picture book was created by Surplus Wonder in collaboration with Magnhild Distington. They took something out of its place to create a whole new together.

BBB 1st Floor
A new add to the BBB Sport & Streat area is about to rise. Brands like Wood Wood and artists like Nomad will hopefully reflect what has to be reflected: a piece of culture. They say there won't be any boundaries, nor in the design of the stands neither in what they intend to present or create. Sounds like THE creative zone to me. Don't miss. The thing about temporarility
"In a modern metropolitan experience-focused society everything is about the ‘momentum’ — clubs, shops and bars, among others, are hot the first two years before they slip back into oblivion. We’re all experience hoppers, zapping between shots of inspiration. Cool shops currently do not have to focus on the slow process of building a circle of clients, but on quickly getting many people interested. After a couple of months the whole city knows, and the ‘homo metropolis’ gets bored. This is one of the reasons why pop-up stores are such a hot shot, as they live in temporality. Pop-up stores let us know about a boiling atmosphere of hot stuff in underground scenes briefly manifesting itself in the ‘real’ world." - Joop de BoerNuf said.

Kevin Van Aelst
Kevin Van Aelst was born in the state of New York. He grew up in central Pennsylvania. Kevin has its own weekly photo column in the New York Times Magazine. You probably will have to focus first to catch what each photo is about. But the moment of awareness will compensate all the brain work. iVictrola by Matt Richmond
Wow. This design by Matt Richmond combines high tech with well atleast faked good old sound. Imagine this in your crib. Expect the unexpected. 400 Dollars and you're in. This old school sound is a beast. I feel like being at home, cooking and watching at the world's end outside while nonstop swinging to my iVictrola sound. Unfortunately the stock at Design Within Reach allready sold out. But, another design of his called iPhone Horn should still be available from Dwell. Go further for the demonstration of the iVictrola

On & Off (Often On)
Two days in a row something about Aakash Nihalani is a good thing. Yesterday everything was about street art, today it's about his first west coast solo exhibition at Carmichael Gallery, West Hollywood. On & Off (Often On) starts on Thursday, January 21 and runs through February 18, 2010. My favourite visual & installation artist so far.

MK13 - Maestro Knows x 13th Witness
Maybe the most expected collaboration amongst the blogger and street art scene in 2010. Levi Maestro announced allready his little come together with the 13th Witness back in 2009. Now they seem to get serious. I'll keep my eyes wide open. Until then go further for some pics of the Witness and the official introduction of the MK13. But why am I so hungry right now?

It's about Puncos and Incos
Blue Dot Studio put 25 of their chairs on the streets of Manhattan, and then followed the chairs through a combination of GPS and video surveillance as people picked them up and took them home–which, by the way, the public could follow in real time on Twitter. Then the filmmakers interviewed the chair-collectors. Go further for the resulting video.

Be nice to a girl, buy her a ring
Ted Noten, one of the leading jewellery designers in The Netherlands, has developed a jewellery ‘pull wall’ located close to the small rooms where girls still perform their original jobs. For only 2,50 euros, red rings, designed by Noten, can be bought at the former snack vending machine, to be given to a red light girl or as a present to your wife. I say Amsterdam, you did it again. Great idea.
